A RN is one of the top ten professions in the country. They have a wide range of duties and can get involved in diagnosing and treating, health teaching, health counseling and executing medical plans prescribed by a physician. RN's provide direction to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and nursing aids.
Our one-year program takes into account your training and experience so you can "bridge" the gap to an associate degree in nursing (ADN) and prepare you to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.
You'll get hands-on experience and excellent instruction in our state-of-the-art Health Science Institute.

The health care experience form (PDF) must be completed as part of the application. The health care experience form cannot be signed by the applicant. It must be signed by a direct supervisor/educator.

If you are already and LPN, you can earn an Associate in Applied Science degree in Nursing in just three semesters, following completion of admission requirements including five prerequisites courses.
The ADN or Associate of Applied Science is a two-year degree. The BSN or Bachelor of Science is a four-year degree. 银河app苹果版 offers the ADN degree.
Graduates of both types of nursing programs are eligible to apply to take the licensing exam to become a registered nurse in all fifty states. In addition, our degree can transfer, if you wish to pursue a bachelor's degree.
The LPN bridge program is for LPNs who wish to continue their education and complete an ADN. Basically, it allows an LPN to get an ADN and RN exam eligibility with three more semesters of study.
There are specific admission requirements and a unique application for the LPN bridge program.
The nursing curriculum is rigorous and time intensive. You will be expected to attend 4-6 hours of class and approximately 16 hours of clinical a week.
There is a significant amount of extra time required in preparation for class and clinical. It will be important for you to consider the time commitment in advance of entering the program, and to discuss with your family and any employers.
We have articulation agreements with several local four-year colleges and universities making it easy to complete a four-year degree. These agreements allow all of your Associated of Applied Science degree courses from 银河app苹果版 to count toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
Schools that 银河app苹果版 has articulation agreements include the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Columbia and Rockhurst University.
No, all admission requirements must be met prior to submitting an application. Any applications submitted prior to the applicant completing the admission requirements will not be considered.
The ACCUPLACER® is the entrance examination required by Metropolitan Community College to test for readiness for college level courses.

Admission to and graduation from the nursing program does not ensure eligibility for state licensure, nor does it guarantee passing the licensure examination.
Any candidate for licensure who has ever been charged or convicted of a misdemeanor or a felony will be required to submit documentation of the court proceedings for that charge or conviction to the State Board of Nursing in which licensure is sought.
Upon completion of the program, the graduate is expected to file an application with the Missouri State Board of Nursing to write the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) for the registered professional nurse.
After successful completion of the examination, a license will be granted for the graduate to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Missouri.
If the student has had a criminal conviction in the past, please contact the nursing division chairperson. A conviction may delay or prevent the issuance of a license.

State licensure boards have the responsibility of determining that each applicant who will practice as a professional healthcare provider / nurse have good moral character.
The boards have the legal right to deny licensure to individuals found to have violated any local, state or federal law. A record of a felony conviction is a factor which must be considered by licensure boards while applying to sit for the licensure examinations.
For detailed information on this, within the State of Missouri, refer to the Missouri Revised Statutes, Chapter 335 Nurses, Section 335.066 of the Missouri Nurse Practice Act. The Missouri State Board of Nursing also has a link to the statutes.
The Missouri State Board of Nursing will make the decision whether or not to allow an individual to take the licensure examination.
